GLOWING WOODSHOP
I liked working outside on the back deck but I needed a dedicated space for woodworking. I was inspired by the idea of making an enclosed space that could be transformed into a space to work outside. The small simple frame structure has five large window openings and four doors allowing it to be opened to let wind carry the sawdust away.
The view from our house into the back yard needed a terminus. The woodshop became a glowing terminus that transformed our back yard into a courtyard. It is a workshop and a folly.
